A BOOK THAT ARRIVED LIKE A QUIET REVOLUTION

There are books that pass through your life gently, and there are books that arrive with the weight of truth. Hijr-Nama, the monumental poetic work by Zeeshan Ameer Saleemi, belongs to the second category. It is not merely a collection of poems; it is a complete emotional landscape.

Suddenly, the linguistic distance between London and Lahore dissolved.

My immersion into Hijr-Nama has inspired a vision for cross-cultural literary collaboration. I am now exploring joint initiatives with Zeeshan Ameer Saleemi to bring Urdu and English literature into a meaningful dialogue.
